After a teammate TRIED to use a reusable tumbler at Chik-Fil-A today and was told she couldn't and then was given two styrofoam cups: one with ice and one with tea so she could fill her own tumbler, I was moved to do something I've been meaning to do for a while: I wrote Chik-Fil-A and told them to ditch the styrofoam once and for all!

I really enjoyed this challenge! It definitely made me more aware of our use of plastics, and unnecessary items! My family is better for this and hope to continue to keep items out of the landfill far past this Eco Challenge!!

I will continue to choose items that are more eco friendly, carry a reusable straw with me everywhere I go, and keep a stash of reusable bags in my trunk for the days I go shopping. These are simple lifestyle changes that will help "break up with the stuff that doesn't break down!"

Who needs a $200 spa quality face and body scrub when you can mix your used coffee grounds from your morning coffee, add a few drops of sea salt and coconut oil to get a glow and a cellulite reducer????   Being Eco-Conscious and thrifty all in one cool move!

Yes! I was encouraged by Belinda, who also travels, to use a reusable water bottle. She even gave me info on where she found her awesome fold up water bottle. During a meeting with one of the offices this week we realized many people in the room had plastic drink bottles and the director saw my reusable bottle and reminded everyone to try and use reusable whenever possible. Always a good reminder!

My husband and I realized that a lot of our plastic packaging accumulates from groceries!! This past weekend, we tried to be more mindful of choosing items in responsible packaging.
