Olivia Guider 7/29/2019 8:18 AMI spent my weekend in Kennbunkport, Maine visiting family and snagged a new 4Ocean's bracelet in one of the small shops while I was there. "4Ocean is a global movement actively removing trash from the ocean and coastlines while inspiring individuals to work together for a cleaner ocean, one pound at a time." This particular bracelet was in partnership with the Orca Conservancy to help protect orcas and their habitats from ocean plastic and other threats. Every 4Ocean bracelet purchased removes one pound of trash from the ocean. How cool!? Check out their website to learn more: https://4ocean.com/ #PurposePassionPride #PlasticFreeEcoChallenge

Olivia Guider 7/25/2019 7:38 AMI went into Dunkin for my morning coffee instead of going through the drive-thru so I could use my reusable cup and straw. It made me think...imagine if everyone was required to bring their own cup for coffee just like stores are asking people to bring their own bags? If places were to implement a small change like this, we would be on the right path to a cleaner environment! #ThursdayThoughts #PlasticFreeEcoChallenge-

Olivia Guider 7/15/2019 6:47 AMOver the weekend my family and I spent the day at the beach. Usually we stop and get a coffee on our way, but this time I brought my YETI and reusable straw with me and had the woman at Dunkin fill my cup! This is such an easy thing to do, however many people don't think to do it. Not only was I helping the environment, I was also keeping my coffee nice and cool the whole day!! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable BagsHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Olivia Guider 7/09/2019 12:05 PMThis challenge wasn't difficult for me. I have started to leave reusable bags in my trunk when I go grocery shopping, which makes doing this challenge easier. If I run into Target for a few items and they fit in my purse, I opt out of the plastic bag.
