I didn't have a chance to check in yesterday and thought I could do it now but it's locked... Well, tasks were done just not accounted for in the challenge. Onward!

Exiting my car to see a man flick his cigarillo butt in a puddle on the ground right in front of me! He apologized profusely - not for littering but for throwing something in front of me. I told him about the challenge and that I would have to pick it up. He said "no, no!" but didn't move to retrieve it. So I picked it up, put in the...

Today I signed the Greenpeace petition that asks big corporations to stop using single-use plastics in their product. That is the best bet we have: reducing plastics that are delivered with purchased products. Corporations have the power, money and staff to do that. Consumers cannot be the ones running around trying to find a solution to all...

Petition I signed today was to Starbucks.  Companies need to be responsible for the material they distribute and use in their operations. Consumers cannot be the ones trying to find a solution for waste generated at the counter when purchasing a product. Companies have R&D teams to develop what they distribute. It's time to go back to the...

It is still painful to go grocery shopping. There's so much plastic packaging... and to top it up, Publix still sells styrofoam coolers. Sigh...

Finally have my act together with correct bags and containers. I’m finding that the bulk container offerings at Sunseed are comparable to the packaged items. Have my pantry set up with labeled Mason Jars. Sunseed is less convenient than Publix next door, but can easily plan a trip just a mile down the road. ‘Mindful Consuming’

I must not forget my reusable bag when I dash into the drugstore and getting through errands. The ‘oops’ add up over the year.  Guess this goes into the realm of ‘mindful shopping and consuming.

oh my gosh - i just can't believe how fast time has gone - i'm super excited to see more actions which will inspire me in the future - today i'm going to message my team members and give them information on the "1 million actions" challenge sponsored by 1 million women so that they can continue their momentum if they choose to do so. ...
