My two puppers are always so happy to see me no matter how long I've been gone. Their unconditional love makes every day happier.

Great job, LHB team members! This challenge made me re-think my use of plastics and has introduced me to several alternatives, which I intend to make habits!

The key is to pack snacks in reusable containers, bring reusable bottles (for hot and cold drinks).  Keep in mind dense snacks such as nuts are difficult for TSA to screen and you may be pulled aside.  I found that if I pack nuts in a flatter rectangular container, I'm less likely to be delayed.  You can dine plastic free at sit down restaurants if you have the extra time, funds, and if the option is available.

I never got around to the waste audit, but I have a good idea of where we need to be more careful. Reducing plastic use is hard, but getting a little easier all the time.

    Food Start Composting
Do an inventory of how much food waste you would save from going to the landfill if you start composting all of the time. What are the added benefits of having compost that is readily accessible?

I'm going to love having compost available to enrich the soil in my gardens. Composting is also going to significantly cut down on what goes into my garbage.

I've recently found out there are reusable makeup remover pads that you can hand wash. I'm looking forward to using them and eliminating the disposable kind.
