Becky Alexander 7/30/2019 11:11 AMIt's the end of the month and I'm still loving my bar of shampoo... -

Becky Alexander 7/18/2019 2:52 PMFor anyone looking to eliminate one more plastic bag, here is an easy recipe I use for tortillas: stir together 2C flour, 3/4C veggie oil, 1/4C warm water, and 1/2t salt. Cover and let rest 30 minutes. Divide into 6-12 balls (depending on how large you want your tortillas). One-by-one, roll out into a circle and cook in large skillet over medium heat until lightly browned on each side. Best enjoyed fresh. -
Becky Alexander 7/09/2019 12:21 PMSuccessfully used my own glass container at the deli counter yesterday for sliced lunch meat. Unsuccessfully, forgot to make sure the container weight was accounted for in the price (tare) and paid $17 for a half pound of turkey! Will try getting store credit during next week's shopping trip... -
Becky Alexander 7/03/2019 7:30 AMWent shopping at a new zero-waste market that a friend of mine opened this year in a Minneapolis food desert. In addition to bulk dry goods (either bring your own containers or use theirs for a refundable deposit), they have options for personal care that include both pre-made low-waste products and ingredients to make your own. I'm on day two of trying out a bar shampoo. I like it so far, but will keep you updated.
