July 31 at 11:25 AMMy two puppers are always so happy to see me no matter how long I've been gone. Their unconditional love makes every day happier.

July 31 at 9:03 AMGreat job, LHB team members! This challenge made me re-think my use of plastics and has introduced me to several alternatives, which I intend to make habits!
-
July 31 at 8:40 AMUsing a reusable quart sized bag for my travel toiletries - no problem at TSA.
-
July 31 at 7:28 AMI've been using reusable produce bags all month and I am loving it!
-
July 31 at 6:40 AMThe key is to pack snacks in reusable containers, bring reusable bottles (for hot and cold drinks). Keep in mind dense snacks such as nuts are difficult for TSA to screen and you may be pulled aside. I found that if I pack nuts in a flatter rectangular container, I'm less likely to be delayed. -
July 31 at 5:02 AMI never got around to the waste audit, but I have a good idea of where we need to be more careful. Reducing plastic use is hard, but getting a little easier all the time.
-
July 30 at 8:14 PMPaper straws seem to be all the rage at restaurants in Ely.
-
July 30 at 11:11 AMIt's the end of the month and I'm still loving my bar of shampoo...
-
July 30 at 8:04 AMI'm going to love having compost available to enrich the soil in my gardens. Composting is also going to significantly cut down on what goes into my garbage.
-
July 30 at 6:33 AMI've recently found out there are reusable makeup remover pads that you can hand wash. I'm looking forward to using them and eliminating the disposable kind.
