Great job, LHB team members! This challenge made me re-think my use of plastics and has introduced me to several alternatives, which I intend to make habits!

Using a reusable quart sized bag for my travel toiletries - no problem at TSA.

I've been using reusable produce bags all month and I am loving it!

The key is to pack snacks in reusable containers, bring reusable bottles (for hot and cold drinks).  Keep in mind dense snacks such as nuts are difficult for TSA to screen and you may be pulled aside.  I found that if I pack nuts in a flatter rectangular container, I'm less likely to be delayed.  You can dine plastic free at sit down...

I never got around to the waste audit, but I have a good idea of where we need to be more careful. Reducing plastic use is hard, but getting a little easier all the time.

Paper straws seem to be all the rage at restaurants in Ely.

It's the end of the month and I'm still loving my bar of shampoo...

I'm going to love having compost available to enrich the soil in my gardens. Composting is also going to significantly cut down on what goes into my garbage.

I've recently found out there are reusable makeup remover pads that you can hand wash. I'm looking forward to using them and eliminating the disposable kind.
