Lifestyle
Travel Smart
If traveling, I will bring my own plastic free items (water bottle, grocery bags, collapsible food containers, utensils, straws, etc.) with me.
Food
Visit the Butcher
I will purchase meats and cheeses from the deli counter or a butcher shop, and use my own containers to do so.
Food
Minimize Packaging
I will purchase food items with the least amount of packaging.
Lifestyle
Buy Only What I Need
I will not buy anything except items required for health and safety.
Lifestyle
Natural Fibers
When available, I will purchase clothing made with natural fibers, such as cotton, linen, or wool, rather than synthetic fibers.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Visit the ButcherHow has using your own containers impacted the quality of the food you receive? Does this give you more awareness of where your food comes from as opposed to just grabbing a package of mystery origin cheese/meat?
Susan Allen 7/06/2019 5:46 AMBecause it's convenient, I now buy very small amounts of deli items. No waste!
Tayst pods for the Keurig.....approved for composting at the zoo. 😄 packaging, too!!-

Susan Allen 7/06/2019 5:41 AMI gave my Boston hostess mesh bags for her fruits and vegetables. They pay for plastic here!! -
Susan Allen 7/01/2019 8:09 AMMy collapsable food container goes where I go. 3 1/2 x 5 x 1/2. Tucks into my purse. At first, people look.....then they have that light bulb moment! -
