July 30 at 12:53 PMMy bar soap is SO much cheaper, just as luxurious, and takes up less space in my shower :) Plus the benefit of buying a locally made soap is an added bonus!

July 29 at 12:14 PMWe just have 2 days left!!! What has been your biggest challenge so far? And what has been something that you started and now is old habit?! So excited to see the changes everyone adopted this month!

July 26 at 1:47 PMOkay team - we just have 5 more days left. Great job so far for all of you!!! Share how the month has been going for you so far, the easy parts and the challenges. I encourage all of you to look what you have accomplished so far and reflect on the positive impact you have made on our environment. We hope this has been a valuable experience for...

July 26 at 8:16 AMI actually haven't actually made my own cleaning product other than vinegar water. I a finding it difficult to fine the time to go out and purchase the materials I need. But I vow to do it at some point, it may not be during the month of July. And that is fine, because all the these we challenged ourselves for July should carry over into our...

July 15 at 4:05 AMFinally had the chance to look into the recycling program for contact lens. I was impressed with the Bausch Lomb site, One by Once Recycling Program. Currently I only have on set that needs to recycled. If anyone wants to collect theirs for a while I can send a box with several to lower the carbon print of shipping them out.

July 15 at 4:03 AMYears ago you could go to any grocery store and hand pick your vegetables and fruits. But I think that people became concerned with germs and bacterial and even though you can wash the items people felt more comfortable with having their food sealed in plastic. Manufactures may feel that by wrapping them in plastic will make the produce last...

July 12 at 12:10 PMWent to Life Unplastic with Amanda Waddle yesterday, it was great! Plus, got lots of inspiration to keep going and a plastic free deodorant bar to try!

July 10 at 2:14 PMI met with Commissioners Ward and Warren (separately) to get and update on the straw ban they are working on and remind them how important it is for the city to begin their waste audit and then do the strategic plan for zero waste. I also asked the all city events work towards zero waste and not use any single-use plastics. In May, just 2...
