Jess Armstrong 7/20/2019 1:53 PMI had some bananas that were going brown and I buy yogurt in the largest size possible (to save on packaging), but I was afraid I wouldn't use it before the expiration date. I use both in my morning smoothies so I made them into "ice cubes" so I don't waste anything! Just trying to be creative to ensure I use all I buy! -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodDo an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?
Jess Armstrong 7/02/2019 2:36 PMI've started replacing staples that I would normally buy in plastic bags (rice, popcorn, granola, etc.) in bulk canvas bags and then storing them in glass jars. I know there are more items I can buy this way and I definitely will in the future. This extends to my freezer and fridge, too! -
