Angie Steiner 7/16/2019 1:34 PMMy homemade deodorant works pretty well! It smells great too (I used cedar and bergamot essential oils in it). And I started a Pinterest board like Laura Teahl did and saved instructions to make toothpaste. I like the idea of the tabs, but I already own all of the ingredients for paste, so I'm going to probably go that route instead.-

Angie Steiner 7/11/2019 10:26 AMYesterday I planted green onion, potatoes, and celery from scraps. I've done it before and had temporary success, but hopefully this time I can make it last. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Plant a GardenBesides having access to fresh herbs and vegetables, what benefits will you see from growing your own garden?

Angie Steiner 7/15/2019 1:09 PMJen, I will take the free therapy gladly!
And Laura, I do love the idea of being a little bit more self-sufficient. -
Jennifer Nelson 7/15/2019 7:52 AMI'm not sure I can honestly say my garden produces free food (my spending at Farmington Gardens argues to the contrary, lol). But it IS free therapy! ;) -
Laura Repass 7/13/2019 6:44 AMGardening also helps connect us to the Earth and opens our eyes to the unobserved ecosystems. It also gives you the satisfaction that you can provide delicious food for yourself.

Angie Steiner 7/09/2019 2:36 PMI made my own deodorant last night using a recipe from Pintrest. It is still setting up, so haven't tried it yet, but fingers crossed. If it doesn't work, sorry in advance to my coworkers... :) -
Angie Steiner 6/26/2019 10:02 AMI'm interested in trying toothpaste tabs. Has anyone used them? If so, any recommended brands?
