Steve's actions
Food
Make Your Own
I will try new recipe(s) or food preparation method(s) each day, such as canning, pickling, making yogurt, or baking granola bars or bread.
Pets
Pet Waste
I will spend 30 minutes learning how to compost pet waste at home or research pet waste composting services available in my area.
Food
Cook a Zero-Plastic Waste Meal
I will prepare 1 meal(s) at home each day without using any items packaged in single-use plastic.
Community
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 5 piece(s) of litter each day.
Personal Care
Pearly Whites
I will purchase toothpaste in an aluminum tube or in a glass jar or make my own!
Personal Care
That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?
Personal Care
Brusha Brusha Brusha
I will replace my plastic toothbrush with a bamboo toothbrush.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Steve Scholle 7/03/2019 9:34 AMIt was really interesting learning about composting options for pet waste. Who knew that the average dog produces almost 125 kilograms of poo every year!?!-
Bobbi Jo Holmes 7/03/2019 12:07 PMLast year I read about composting kitty waste! I have 3 cats, but the effort it would take to make a special compost pile for "kitty crap" was not worth it. Plus my cats are picky and need special litter!
