Last day of July which means the end to the 2019 Eco challenge. Just think of how we can impact our world if everyone continued to do at least one thing each day from their list of activities for an entire year!!! It is known that doing something for 21 days straight will make it a habit. What a great habit to have!!! I encourage everyone to continue with your activities.

Hi there - Picking up garbage is so easy. I find things laying around everywhere. Its funny, our city seems to be so clean but when you look for garbage, you find it!!

How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

Wow this is a hard challenge as my go to is plastic wrap if I don't have the correct size container. I have started using glass containers like reusing the spaghetti sauce, jams & sauces glass jars. And... I can put these into the dishwasher.

Why do you think these produce products started amassing so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?

It's easy to just pick your fruits & vegetables and just place them in your shopping cart without plastic bags. It's also fun to watch the clerk try to balance all the fruit on the scale for pricing 😃
