  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Make Your Own
How do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?

Overwhelmed leading up to it, then empowered after! Making vegan sour cream tonight.

Food Cook a Zero-Plastic Waste Meal
Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?

It would be big! I think of how I can reduce my single-use plastic all the time, and convinced my mom yesterday to just buy regular bell peppers rather than the mini ones in the bag.

Safer for people, too. The broken windows theory is a criminological theory that states that visible signs of crime, anti-social behavior, and civil disorder create an urban environment that encourages further crime and disorder, including serious crimes. Littering is anti-social behavior, so by cleaning it up, you show that that is not acceptable. Good for you!
