REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable BagsHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Karen Flanigan 7/09/2019 5:56 AMSome businesses throw things in bags so fast you have to be on your toes to get "I don't need (or want) a bag" out in time. "One sandwich, hold the bag" -

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Keep My Community CleanHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
Karen Flanigan 7/02/2019 6:33 AMOn work days, I'm picking up litter around my office building. There are many fast food places nearby and everything gets blown over and stuck in the bushes (and poison ivy). On weekends, I'll pick up litter in my community and in both cases, it is nice to make a difference, even in a small one. -
Karen Flanigan 7/02/2019 6:29 AMI picked properly recycling used contact lenses and packaging as one of my goals. I need to find out if any of the eye doctor's offices near me collect them, or if I need to send them in when I collect enough. Today I'm wearing my glasses, so I'm making my supply of contacts last longer.-
Louisa Lubiak 7/19/2019 12:17 PMI wear glasses most of the time but will occasionally use disposable daily-wear contact lenses. I didn't know you could recycle contact lenses - I don't even know what kind of plastic they're made of.
