Rachel Wrublik 7/31/2019 9:29 PMLots of plastics are used! But there are also lots of glass and paper options... I found that it was somewhat easy to cut over half of the plastic waste out of my footprint. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy Unpackaged ProduceWhy do you think these produce products started amassing so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?
Susan Dawson 7/31/2019 3:38 PMI plan to do this. We have plenty of cloth bags. There's probably several reasons - the idea (true or not) that packaged produce would be cleaner/contamination-free, possibly for shipping and less bruising of fruit/vegetables, easy to grab. -
