Megan Watson 7/18/2019 6:54 AMMany of you may have already heard of this company, but I love my reusable straw!
It fits on my keychain, so I never have to worry about forgetting it at home! https://finalstraw.com/ -
Megan Watson 7/17/2019 6:52 AMI've had a rough few days on the anti-Plastic train. I found that everything is much harder to do when traveling. I don't travel with containers, utensils, water bottle, and coffee cup (but I did have my collapsible straw!) I also spent a lot of time in a human hospital and was appalled to find that there was NO recycling and the amount of plastic that is used on each individual patient is absurd. I had to carry a plastic bottle all the way back to the airport before I found a recycling bin. I'm going to write a letter to the hospital. Anyone have any other tips on how to stay plastic free while traveling?-
Erica Farrell 7/17/2019 7:15 PMI have refillable toiletries and bring a water bottle and coffee cup with me always. I struggle with food and plastic and waste while away from home and my goals are to eat locally and only order what I need, so no leftovers. I also want to bring my reusable bags while traveling more often to avoid inevitable plastic bag at the store. Hospitals are tough- single use plastic is big in the medical field (as you know) but no recycling!!! That’s horrendous!! Write that letter!!!
