REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityHow does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?
Tina Slosarik 7/23/2019 6:03 AMIt feels great knowing that we are working towards a common goal of keeping our community, green spaces and waterways clean. For this challenge, my 7 year old and I participated in a community waterway cleanup. I feel as though teaching her to make that responsible effort is most important for our future. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFamilyMost of us know that the "3 R's" are reduce, reuse, recycle. Recycling is most heavily emphasized in modern Western culture. How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Tina Slosarik 7/14/2019 5:52 AMThe "Refuse" has been the hardest to get used to! My family has been carrying our metal straws, and reusable totes. I need to remember to bring containers for leftovers.-
Sandi Phillips 7/15/2019 11:45 AMBringing containers is definitely a habit that I have to get into, too. Some days I am really good about it! Another is bringing my own reusable silverware to any cookouts this summer!
