Ann's actions
Lifestyle
Complete a Waste Audit
I will conduct a waste audit - including recyclables and compost - to understand how much waste I create and where I can reduce the most.
Personal Care
That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?
Family
Thoughtful Toys
I will only buy cloth, wooden or plant-based natural rubber toys. Or make our own toys from recycled items found in our home!
Personal Care
Brusha Brusha Brusha
I will replace my plastic toothbrush with a bamboo toothbrush.
Community
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 5 piece(s) of litter each day.
Food
Takeout Pro
I will use my own containers when ordering takeout.
Community
Sign a Petition
I will sign a petition in support of a plastic-related initiative in my state/province.
Food
Use Reusable Utensils
I will keep 3 plastic cutlery out of the landfill per day by using my own reusable cutlery.
Food
Skip the Straw
I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill per day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Food
Start Composting
I will start a compost collection at home, work, or school.
Community
Volunteer in my Community
I will volunteer 6 hour(s) in my community.
Pets
DIY Cat Litter
I will swap out my cat's litter for sawdust, mulch, and dirt with baking soda.
Lifestyle
Natural Fibers
When available, I will purchase clothing made with natural fibers, such as cotton, linen, or wool, rather than synthetic fibers.
Personal Care
Lather Up
I will replace my soaps, shampoos, and conditions with either a bar or refillable option.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Ann Richard 8/22/2019 7:09 AMi love participating in the challenge. I wish there was an app for us to use on our mobile devices. -
Ann Richard 7/16/2019 5:57 PMHere are our take out tupperware containers.
Everytime we use them so many people see them and comment
on how great it is that we are using them. More people need to do this.
Easy Peasy......just keep in the car.-
June Cruz 7/19/2019 5:00 AMWhat a great idea, I keep extra of things for the kids in the car but didn't think something like this.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Keep My Community CleanHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
Ann Richard 7/02/2019 10:41 AMI am always picking up trash whenever I see it. It is really unfortunate that so many people throw stuff out their car windows. I live right near a small locally owned convenience store and so many customers throw out their lottery tickets when they don't win. -
Ann Richard 7/01/2019 3:20 AMFirst day ! Looking forward to all the challenges this month.
