Create Your Own Action
Kitty box cleaning
I was thinking about the fact that I use a plastic bag daily to clean my cat's litter box. I went to a whole foods store, and found biodegradable bags. While not paper, they do say they can be composted. Think that's one less plastic bag daily, even if it is a little more expensive!
Food
Buy Unpackaged Produce
I will purchase produce items without plastic packaging.
Food
Shop the Bulk Bins
I will purchase dry goods from the bulk section of my grocery store, and use my own containers to do so.
Food
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.
Lifestyle
Homemade Cleaners
I will make my own cleaning products at home.
Lifestyle
Naked Bins
I will either line my trash cans with repurposed newspaper or paper bags, or I will not line my trash cans at all.
Food
Use Reusable Water Bottles
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 1 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.

Sarah Montez 7/29/2019 8:50 PMI went to McDonald's yesterday to get a soda. When I told them I didn't need a straw, because I had my own, the teen staff member behind the counter actually smiled and said "Thank You". It was nice having someone from the younger generation recognize what we're trying to do! :)
