REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable ContainersHow can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?
Margarita Lopez 7/22/2019 2:11 PMWe try to minimize the amount of times that we eat out to prevent waste & cook more meals at home.-
Laura Repass 7/23/2019 11:56 AMIf you know you’re going out, you can bring a reusable container or two. That allows for leftovers while being eco-friendly.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable UtensilsHow can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?
Margarita Lopez 7/19/2019 7:14 AMUsing reusable utensils instead of disposable ones has been great. I bring my utensils from home and they are much more sturdy than the disposable ones. No risk of them breaking on you. -
Margarita Lopez 7/19/2019 7:03 AMEnjoying the challenges & participating as a team:) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable BagsHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Margarita Lopez 7/19/2019 7:02 AMThis challenge has been pretty easy because I have reusable bags stored in my vehicle so that It's easy to remember them when grocery shopping. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Shop the Bulk BinsHow has buying bulk impacted the quality of the food you receive? Why do you think Western society relies more on prepackaged foods rather than buying in bulk?
Margarita Lopez 7/18/2019 7:35 AMI like buying in bulk so that I only buy what I need. I know that buying packaged goods is more convenient but sometime the amounts are too much sometimes.-
Jennifer Nelson 7/18/2019 12:43 PMSometimes, I have avoided buying a bulk item where the bulk bins were poorly maintained and the item looked questionable. But when I shop somewhere that people frequently buy bulk foods, I find that those purchases have a longer shelf life at home. Also, when I buy bulk, I tend to buy fewer processed foods, so the nutritional quality of my food is higher, I think.
