I've been slowly convincing my roommates to join me on a household compost program thanks to the resources available through MRWMD and Bea Johnson. If you don't know where to start, take a look at this presentation. http://www.mrwmd.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Zero-Waste-Living.pdf

We had a great turnout for our beach cleanup at McAbee yesterday, July 11th from 11:00 a.m - 2:30 p.m., where more the 60 volunteers joined us across the board from MBA, SSA and the general public. We had a great opportunity to engage with the general public and spread awareness on the dangers of single-use plastics!.

After seeing Bea Johnson's presentation in the Auditorium on Earth Day, I went out and bought a double edged re-usable razor to move away from disposables. Clean Shave and much longer life cycle of the blades with proper care

Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?

All inventory is currently reusable. Need to find an "best practice" for purchasing Meat/Chicken with no plastic
