I missed posting the past few days, traveling visiting family and friends. Each day I made an effort to collect trash along the lakefront and roadways.
Someone with allergies and sensitive skin I need to be careful with what products I use on a daily basis. I have been using and love beauty products from BeautyCounter, their mission..."To get safer products into the hands of everyone". Also, love Boom by Cindy Joseph and the Original Beast Balm. Using clean free of toxins products on your skin is so important! Read the ingredients before you buy.
I have started volunteering these past two weeks at Kuzzins Garden in Rumson. Two hours a week on Wednesday morning. The produce from this incredible garden is donated to Lunch Break in Red Bank. We are a group of volunteers and Master Gardeners working the gardens to support a local kitchen that feeds hundreds of people on a weekly basis. No one should go hungry.
My why...I own an eco-friendly interior design company FG Design Solutions LLC, and I have tried to weave my own environmental stewardship into every aspect of my life. For years, I have been conscientiously recycling in both my personal and professional life. Joining this challenge I hope to continue to learn new habits and stay strong living a plastic-free life.
With a bar of soap, there can be less waste when lathering up. On a personal level and benefits of, the pleasure of not dumping unnecessarily into our landfills. Also, a bar of soap has purer ingredients and less waste.
To begin with...I love bamboo. Using bamboo eliminates unnecessary waste. With both the tossing and packaging of your toothbrush, recycling and composting is much easier.
