REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Start CompostingDo an inventory of how much food waste you would save from going to the landfill if you start composting all of the time. What are the added benefits of having compost that is readily accessible?
Avery Gould 7/12/2019 9:42 AMComposting is a lot easier than I thought it would be. Well, I don't actually compost it myself, but I take my food scraps and other compostable waste to a community compost pile. It's very simple, while I'm cooking I put food scraps into a bucket on the counter instead of in the trash and take short amount of time on the weekends to visit the farmers market and drop off my scraps.-
Jessica Chapman 7/12/2019 4:03 PMI agree!! I love that most Farmer's Markets around Monterey have a composting bins!

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Join a Cleanup EffortHow does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?
Avery Gould 7/12/2019 9:40 AMIt felt really good to join the beach clean up yesterday. I liked the feeling of doing something tangible to help the ocean. It made me more aware of trash on the ground everywhere. I started to notice so many small pieces of plastic and trash all over the ground that I probably have walked past many times before. I will definitely attend another clean up event.
