REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Join a Cleanup EffortHow does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?
Rachel Goldberger 7/11/2019 7:08 PMThanks to everyone who came out to our beach cleanup today! While our efforts should largely focus on reducing our need for single-use plastics in the first place, being able to pick up trash has always felt so impactful as well. There's something about literally being able to prevent something from entering the ocean that hits home for me.-
SuLi Sabo 7/11/2019 10:32 PMThanks Rachel G for initiating this event! What a great turn up and certainly heartwarming to see the interests generated and the concerns for minimizing single-use plastics.

Rachel Goldberger 7/10/2019 11:52 AMWho knew you could use a rubber kitchen glove to remove pet hair?! With two white/gray animals, my mostly dark colored clothing collection displays all of the love from my furry creatures. I purchased a pet hair removal glove about two years ago and use it daily. It's great for removing hair off the furniture too! But I still have the old standby adhesive lint roller in my car for emergencies. My goal is to replace the emergency one in my car with a rubber glove-
Jessica Chapman 7/12/2019 4:08 PMI didn't know that either!! And I have some never been used gloves from my not-as-eco-friendly-days. I will have to try it!

Rachel Goldberger 7/02/2019 11:46 PMI usually try to re-use any single use plastic bag that makes its way into my life. However, I still find myself putting a brand new plastic garbage bag liner in my kitchen trash bin. Today I realized I could accomplish two goals at once: by re-using a large Tortilla chip bag as a can liner I've given the bag one more life and reduced the amount of trash I'm able to fit in there! Sometimes having less physical space to place our trash gives us the incentive to create less waste!
