REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Buy Only What I NeedAs you have reduced your spending, what have you noticed about your 'health and safety' purchasing habits? How might this change your longer term purchasing decisions?
Amy Carpus 7/08/2019 5:58 AMI have found that I can lead a much simpler life - as there are fewer choices I need to weed through. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable UtensilsHow can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Plant a GardenBesides having access to fresh herbs and vegetables, what benefits will you see from growing your own garden?
Amy Carpus 6/28/2019 7:13 AMTime outdoors in the evenings and early mornings allows for a connection to not only my yard, but also to the neighborhood wildlife. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Keep My Community CleanHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
Amy Carpus 6/28/2019 7:12 AMKnowing what items that some people in our community think are okay to just drop on the ground and walk away make for interesting discussions on social dynamics and cultural acceptance of certain behaviors.-
Kim Harris 6/28/2019 9:59 AMHaha! Amy, that's a very tactful way to think of it! The discussions I have with myself and my invisible friend every time I stop to pick up an empty plastic bottle or 6-pack wrapper might not be culturally acceptable due to the "dynamic" language I use. :-)
