THANK YOU to all our Spokane 350 team members.

Am I the only only who is disappointed that all month long we have been able to enter our task completions up to 3 days after the fact,  but now on Aug 1, we are cut off and can't report the last 3 days accomplishments?  What's up with that? I just lost 3 days worth of keeping my promises.

So, here is a reward that I was certainly not expecting when we began this EcoChallenge.  Yesterday, my Special Olympian son & I were picking up litter from along the side of a road near our home.  Later, that evening, a neighbor appeared at our front door with a plate loaded with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.  Apparently, she had driven by and seen us in action and just wanted to express her appreciation for our civic efforts.  How cool is that? 

Vacations are wonderful and especially when you get to enjoy enjoy the awesome thrill of seeing 2 California Condors on the Lees Ferry bridge spanning the Colorado River & Grand Canyon, but it's still a relief to be home again, so that we can catch our breath and "relax" from the hectic pace of our 7 states in 12 days travels.

On vacation to 5 National Parks in Utah,  Arizona & Colorado until July 6.  Still picking up litter and recycling every day, but no internet to log on to EcoChallenge.
