I will replace my plastic toothbrush with a bamboo toothbrush.
Food
Use Reusable Containers

Make Your Own
I will try new recipe(s) or food preparation method(s) each day, such as canning, pickling, making yogurt, or baking granola bars or bread.
Pets
Pet Waste
I will spend 45 minutes learning how to compost pet waste at home or research pet waste composting services available in my area.
Community
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 2 piece(s) of litter each day.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Make Your OwnHow do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?
JoAnn Vrilakas 7/13/2019 3:12 PMThis has been overwhelming because I only meant to sign up for one or two days, making yoghurt, and I ended up doing every day of the month. Sorry about that.-
Kim Harris 7/13/2019 3:46 PMIf it's a daily action, you don't have a choice to sign up for it differently. Just try something new in the kitchen when you can, and when you do, click the action for that day. You're a success even if you try something new and sustainable one day out of the month!

JoAnn Vrilakas 7/08/2019 8:38 PMHi!
I’m trying and mostly succeeding. Although I didn’t actually mean to say that I would do some new food thing every day. I meant to say I’d do one new food this month - which is to make my own yoghurt in glass jars so I don’t keep buying plastic ones! Haven’t done that yet!
