REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Host a House PartyWhat are the benefits of hosting a house party related to getting to know your guests, connecting them to the cause you are focusing on, and building your community?
Kirsten Tilleman 7/30/2019 1:21 PMJulie's presentation on plastics was super informative and facilitated a fantastic discussion around the complexity of assessing the impacts of our choices. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable ContainersHow can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?
Kirsten Tilleman 7/08/2019 7:40 AMCamping on the 4th of July with extended family that involved a potluck made meeting my challenges especially, well, challenging. My immediate family used reusable storage for our dishes, but most others did not. I chose to express my gratitude for the shared meal over speaking too loudly about all the waste, though I did try to recycle what I could. While this isn't thinking outside the box, it felt more effective than offending family and turning them off entirely to considering the waste.
