Tapped- looking at how much we are destroying our planet and how we continue to get worse every year
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Jim Tilbrook's avatar
    Jim Tilbrook 7/16/2019 7:29 AM
so much healthier! Especially for households with asthmatic kids
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Use Reusable Containers
How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

    Jim Tilbrook's avatar
    Jim Tilbrook 7/16/2019 7:29 AM
do your research- see what is easy for you to change in your own household- and then spread the word
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Minimize Packaging
With the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?

    Jim Tilbrook's avatar
    Jim Tilbrook 7/16/2019 7:28 AM
I avoid single use- it's more expensive for less. This is where community shopping would come in handy
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Use Reusable Bags
How difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?

    Jim Tilbrook's avatar
    Jim Tilbrook 7/16/2019 7:27 AM
not difficult at all- I love canvas totes
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Lobby for Reusables
What are some of the cases you could make to an employer for why switching to durable dishes and utensils is actually in their best interest as well?

    Jim Tilbrook's avatar
    Jim Tilbrook 7/16/2019 7:26 AM
lower costs over time- why keep throwing money away literally when you can just wash and reuse?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Use Reusable Utensils
How can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

    Jim Tilbrook's avatar
    Jim Tilbrook 7/16/2019 7:25 AM
Can we please get affordable, plant based cutlery? It would change the landscape in our country!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Skip the Straw
Have you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.

    Jim Tilbrook's avatar
    Jim Tilbrook 7/16/2019 7:24 AM
I see more people refusing straws altogether than whipping out a reusable straw- that's honestly what I do
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
