Typically I'm picking up litter where I'm walking, so it becomes very personal... as if people are littering in my own home. I have an enhanced feeling of ownership and pride in where I live... especially when it's free of trash

I am loving my daily commitment to pick up three pieces of litter. It keeps it small, but manageable... I feel like I'm doing something without having to pick up every single piece of litter. While I'd love to pick up more trash, I'd never get to where I'm going!

Litter pick up parties are so much more fun, and make the work feel a lot easier. The more people there are helping, the easier the work on every single individual. We need to team up to clean up!

Single use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?

Single-use disposables use valuable resources not only in the manufacturing and distribution process, but in the end of life process as well. Our planet has limited resources and using them up by using something disposable in a matter of minutes may seem like a win in the short-term, but it is not worth it in long term.
