REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable ContainersHow can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?
Kristin Snyder 7/28/2019 10:18 AMI always (or almost always) carry my reusable bag strapped to my backpack and a mesh bag or two for shopping produce. At work I have a few plastic containers with lids. But am still to embarrassed to take my own containers w me when I go out to get lunch.-
Marie Vallee 7/31/2019 11:53 AMYes, I find it challenging too, do you think that having a list of "bring your own container"-friendly food trucks and restaurants around WRI office could help?

Kristin Snyder 7/28/2019 10:15 AMThis is a good article from Sierra Club about the US recycling industry: https://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/2019-4-july-august/feature/us-recycling-system-garbage -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Pearly WhitesCurrently most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?
Kristin Snyder 7/04/2019 7:11 AMI had a hard time finding a container. I tried "Aluminum toothpaste" but instead got plenty of results that had minerals in it?? I instead went to powder toothpaste, first time. Yes, container is plastic so maybe I don't receive points. But what is in the container is all natural, not chemicals, and will use the container afterwards: nice screw top small container. It's a bit spicy and salty, not sure if I can get my family to adopt, though.-
Kristin Snyder 7/04/2019 7:21 AMI need to clarify this since the "feed" doesn't show what I was responding to: Shifting to a non-plastic toothpaste: I had a hard time finding a container. REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Brusha Brusha BrushaWhat are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?
Kristin Snyder 7/04/2019 7:08 AMSwitching to a bamboo toothbrush is interesting. So far, it seems to work fine. Not a problem feeling the bamboo in my mouth and the bristles are soft, which I like.-
