Audra's actions
Lifestyle
Travel Toiletries
If traveling, I will reuse my old travel tubes to refill with my soaps or only bring bar soaps with me in a TSA approved reusable quart sized bag.
Food
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.
Food
Buy Unpackaged Produce
I will purchase produce items without plastic packaging.
Food
Skip the Straw
I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill per day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Food
Visit the Butcher
I will purchase meats and cheeses from the deli counter or a butcher shop, and use my own containers to do so.
Food
Use Reusable Containers
I will only use reusable containers instead of single-use plastic storage items (such as plastic wrap, single-use sandwich bags).
Personal Care
That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Audra Snow 7/09/2019 7:55 AMI've realized that one gallon of milk (purchased at DNF in a glass container) will make yogurt and cream cheese for the week--both full of gut friendly probiotics. Super easy to make! If I want to take it a step further, I can buy a glass container of cream and make sour cream super easy! It costs a bit less than if I were to purchase all of those ORGANIC items separately. AND, there is much less plastic (just the lids).. I looked in to purchasing raw milk at James Ranch (possibly bringing own container so no plastic lid), but its really expensive. -
Audra Snow 7/01/2019 10:09 AMMy niece is 6 years old and I want her to be able to enjoy the planet! I know that if we humans keep going at the rate we are, her world is going to look pretty dismal when she is my age.
