These are hard things to reduce!  I had no idea how much there are.

This is a practice I have done for years!.  Even before it became the "green" thing to do. ha ha

I rarely go out to eat anymore, but will be more proactive in bringing a few "extra" (glass) containers for leftovers if I go out.

I didn't know there were bamboo toothbrushes!  My dentist always gives away toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc.  I will encourage him to look at bamboo options.

Currently most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?

Years ago I had a dentist that encouraged me to use peroxide and baking soda instead of commercial toothpaste.  I don't remember why I stopped, but will start doing it again.

Most of us know that the "3 R's" are reduce, reuse, recycle. Recycling is most heavily emphasized in modern Western culture. How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

I have made it a goal to stop using plastic as much as possible.  We store leftovers in glass containers.  It actually makes it easier to reuse leftovers.
