Nell Matthews 7/04/2019 6:45 AMAs a vegetarian for several years, I look for ways to reduce my carbon footprint by eating responsibly. I try not to waste food by planning menus carefully, buying only what I need and eating healthily. But, I also subscribe to the service HelloFresh. Each week, I get a cardboard box, two or three ice packs, paper bags of meals to prepare with their contents delivered in small plastic packages and boxes. While my food waste is reduced significantly at my house, I wonder if the same is true for the waste at the processing plant. -
