I'm heading out of the country today and happy to say I have two metal straws in my purse and my reusable water bottle ready to go!!! Looking forward to checking in with you all as I try to continue this intention to reduce waste in an unfamiliar setting as well :)

Also...I just noticed the documentary "Bag It" under the Lifestyle documentary suggestions. HIGHLY recommend!! Enjoyable and informative.

The movie is not super recent but is still an excellent resource. As an active member of my college's Global Learning Initiative (a student-driven initiative whose goal is to foster awareness about local and global issues surrounding health and the environment), I was part of a movie screening of "Bag It" and it went over SO well!! We had such great engagement from our audience and had some children asking questions about what they can do and it was truly amazing. If you do anything like this at your own universities, etc. it was super easy to pull off and a really cool way to get people engaged in this important topic!! XO
