Food Advocate For More Food Packaging Options
Single use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?

I was going to write to Nabisco and ask them to use wax paper instead of plastic as their cookie/cracker etc bags.
Then I wondered: "is waxed paper really any better?" I started researching and discovered that many products labeled as "waxed" are actually made with a petroleum based coating and not real wax. Also, there is processing involved that may or may not be any better in terms of environmental impacts. I'll have to be more specific in my request and state that it should be natural soy wax or something like that....more research needed so I know what to say!

    Pets Pet Waste
By composting your pet waste, you are turning waste into nutrients to feed the soil. In what other ways can you turn waste into a resource in your life?

this is so much easier than I thought it would be (so far).
we already have most everything needed just by mowing the lawn and setting up a section of the garden to dry clippings and add poop! USDA has a PDF you can download and it took less than the 12minutes I allocated for the challenge.
