In case anyone is interested, signing an online petition is easy as 1,2,3. There are multiple petition sites so type 'environmental petition' into your favorite search engine (I recently switched to Ecosia because they plant trees) and lots of options will come up. You may find these sites have other petitions that relate to other topics you are passionate about(Animals are another heart tugging cause for me). If you have not chosen the challenge, do it!! Such a simple way to earn points and help the environment.

Picking up trash off the ground is (unfortunately) such a simple action due to the lack of people that do not care to use a garbage can. Now that I have been doing it often for a few weeks now, it is practically a habit that should continue beyond the EcoChallenge.

Do some research on polystyrene and polyvinyl. How many items in your house already contain these toxins?

I discovered the glass floss container a few months ago and finally bought one today! Moving forward I should only need to purchase floss refills instead of plastic containers.

I know that is will go to a landfill instead of blowing around the neighborhood or worse, getting ingested by an animal.

How can/did you prepare to be successful in this action? Did you engage in conversation with anyone about your new habit?

I love mini bottles which are great for packing. Over the years I have learned to refill the travel bottles to prevent purchasing more.
