This has been an eye opening experience! Plastics have become such a staple in just about every industry encountered on a regular basis. You truly have to be mindful and intentional every single day. I have enjoyed learning about what others do to limit their plastics consumption and look forward to continuing the hard but meaningful work!

Most of us know that the "3 R's" are reduce, reuse, recycle. Recycling is most heavily emphasized in modern Western culture. How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

I am working on not purchasing new items of clothing unless it is something I truly feel like I need, and am unable to find used. When I am purchasing new clothing, I have made the decision to either purchase local or purchase from companies who use sustainable practices. I recently purchased a swim suit that is constructed of Econyl which is made of fishing line removed from the pacific ocean.
