Using recyclable containers for my Lunch and snacks reduces the amount of trash and non-reusable items. It's a small thing and I feel I'm making a difference, even though it is small.

How does swapping out prepackaged snacks for fresh fruit or veggies benefit your family?

Less chemicals infused into fruits and vegetables when consuming fresh items, not packaged. I've elected to not freeze my Raspberries (home grown) and using plastic freezer bags to use later on. Just made raspberry fruit roll ups by using my Food Dehydrator and it turned out better than what I thought.

I shopped at the Office Supply Store and brought my own Cloth Bag! It's more sturdier than what they use and it isn't Plastic.

I'm participating in this Eco Challenge to keep my self honest and pull off the blinders to see what I'm doing to protect the environment. The smallest things will have an impact over a period of time. Also, I like working together on a common goal on a Team.
