I will properly recycle used contact lenses and packaging.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Keep My Community CleanHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
KATIE HALL 7/09/2019 12:02 PMPicking up litter makes me very aware of the amount of litter in my community. -
KATIE HALL 6/15/2019 7:05 PMThe Plastic Bank: https://www.plasticbank.com/
This company has set up locations in impoverished countries such as Haiti and the Philippines. There they pay people in the form of school tuition, money, etc. for every pound of plastic that they collect and bring in. The company then sells the plastic to companies to reuse in packaging, products, etc. and use the money to pay the recyclers. This “social plastic” project stops plastic from even entering the oceans, reduces the amount of plastic created, creates a way for money to flow from developed countries to underdeveloped countries, and reduces poverty.
