Gabriel's actions
Food
Plant a Garden
I will plant an herb or vegetable garden in my home, workplace, or community garden
Food
Use Reusable Utensils
I will keep 2 plastic cutlery out of the landfill per day by using my own reusable cutlery.
Personal Care
That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?
Food
Cook a Zero-Plastic Waste Meal
I will prepare 1 meal(s) at home each day without using any items packaged in single-use plastic.
Food
Use Reusable Containers
I will only use reusable containers instead of single-use plastic storage items (such as plastic wrap, single-use sandwich bags).
Personal Care
Pearly Whites
I will purchase toothpaste in an aluminum tube or in a glass jar or make my own!
Community
Join a Cleanup Effort
I will host or participate in a beach, highway, river, or other cleanup effort in my community.

Gabriel Gemperline 7/18/2019 10:07 AMUpdate on the toothpaste - it works! It is not 100% the same texture as conventional, but it also has its own unique qualities. Great idea for other cosmetics across the board. -
Gabriel Gemperline 7/08/2019 8:20 AMI recently found out about this new toothpaste that is a plastic-free alternative. There are bite-sized capsules that you start chewing on that start to foam up and turn into a "traditional" toothpaste texture. Here is the "About" page that explains how this woman come up with the idea; great ingenuity! Haven't tried them yet but am excited to see how they work.
