Kayla Flamm 6/26/2019 5:30 AMI have resolved to use a reusable cup on the rare occasion I get a fancy coffee to go from a coffee shop. Today I did this at Starbucks. Did you know that they offer a 10 cent discount (yes, this is only a drop in the bucket for their prices, but still) for using a reusable cup? It doesn't have to be a Starbucks reusable cup either! -
Kayla Flamm 6/20/2019 7:17 AMI found a blog post that gives some suggestions on what to replace plastic wrap or sandwich baggies with. I am going to try some of these options! Here is the post: https://mindfulmomma.com/alternatives-to-plastic-wrap/
I would love to know if any of them can be found locally so I don't have to order them online.-
Glenda Abney 7/01/2019 1:31 PMI have a great reusable sandwich wrap that I found at a craft fair, and when years later it needed replacing I had to find a crafter to make me a new one. But recently I found a colleague who bought one at a craft vendor at the Goshen Market in Edwardsville - their farmers market on Saturday mornings. Check them out! -

Katherine Moore-Freeman 6/21/2019 4:10 AMPart of my point amassing plan was to create these beeswax cloths, then make my own eco-challenge worth 50 points, mark it complete, and then boast all day about my unbeatable eco-challenge point total. Sadly, you cannot assign points for the challenges you create for yourself. This plan for eco-challenge domination has failed. Now I just have to be satisfied with the idea that I am using less plastic because of my new beeswax cloths. . . And with whatever points I'll get from posting a reply to your post . . . Here is a picture of half a green bell pepper wrapped in said cloth.
