REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Skip the StrawHave you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.
Stella Egar 7/24/2019 3:19 PMYES! I see that people are not using/declining straws when offered to them and vendors are now using cups that don't require straws for the drinks that they make. -
Stella Egar 7/10/2019 2:26 PMI think this challenge is a great reminder that each of can do at least more than one thing to help save the planet and not use any plastic! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable ContainersHow can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?
Stella Egar 7/09/2019 9:36 AMI have been using reusable food containers for a long time so it's just a part of my routine but knowing that it helps the environment is great! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable Water BottlesUsing the links provided, investigate the bottling practices of water corporations. There have been many cases where the water rights of the local people have been violated or even completely disregarded when a corporation decides to bottle water from a particular water source. How can you advocate for those who have been harmed by this bottling process?
Stella Egar 7/04/2019 2:14 PMI make sure I have a reusable water bottle at home and work so it's easy and accessible to refill it! -
Stella Egar 7/03/2019 2:53 PMI think that these challenges/goals could be incorporated in everyone's everyday life. I'm sure most people are already used to using reusable bags, food containers and water bottles so taking an extra step like not using straws would be an easy and achievable thing to do.
