REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Buy Only What I NeedAs you have reduced your spending, what have you noticed about your 'health and safety' purchasing habits? How might this change your longer term purchasing decisions?
heidi dippel 7/10/2019 2:36 PMI 've noticed that we spend a lot on food, which is all about our health. We are going to the store a bit more frequently, but we are eating better and healthier foods. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Skip the StrawHave you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.
heidi dippel 7/09/2019 10:37 AMI have not, unfortunately, seen any shifts in the community. Some restaurants around are not just handing them out, you have to ask for them. But nothing really about reusable ones. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable UtensilsHow can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?
heidi dippel 7/09/2019 10:36 AMGiving people the right education is important, and providing them with the tools to really use the proper utensils and such. Giving people a place to clean and store them is important. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Minimize PackagingWith the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?
heidi dippel 7/09/2019 10:34 AMSingle use plastics are all over, even in local stores. They are surprisingly everywhere. Almost inevitable for some products. I wish there were less all over! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Share My ActionsIn what ways is social media an effective tool for sharing your values?
heidi dippel 7/09/2019 10:33 AMIt spreads knowledge faster than speaking with people. I'm knew to the social media world, but I've learned it goes viral fast!
