REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Visit the ButcherHow has using your own containers impacted the quality of the food you receive? Does this give you more awareness of where your food comes from as opposed to just grabbing a package of mystery origin cheese/meat?

Steven Day 7/06/2019 3:43 AMThe fun of trying to be plastic free is gaining momentum in our family. We often have berries at breakfast - but when bought in supermarkets they come in plastic trays topped with film. So they have gone. Today was unpackaged water melon instead... but we did notice it had a very small label. Made out of - you've guessed it! -
Steven Day 7/05/2019 2:48 PMTeam Pure Planet passes a thousand points - great start! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyle Watch a DocumentaryWhich documentary did you choose to watch? What did you learn?
Steven Day 7/04/2019 1:27 AMCaught up with the third of the absolutely excellent three-parter War on Plastic last night. Here's the link to the iPlayer: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0005xgz/war-on-plastic-with-hugh-and-anita-series-1-episode-1
A brilliant piece of educative television with some very revealing findings and helpful ideas about to cut single plastic use in particular. Also very touching and inspiring section on the kids against plastic kids toys from fast food restaurants. Well worth watching the series. -
Steven Day 7/03/2019 11:42 AMA great day one for Team Pure Planet. 20 people signed up. And straight to the number one slot in the UK with over 450 points. Admittedly there are only two other UK teams in the challenge so far... but still :)-
Adele Philippides 7/03/2019 12:15 PMI am in awe of your nation... way to go on the plastic ban!

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Pearly WhitesCurrently most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?
Steven Day 7/03/2019 11:36 AMGot myself organised and bought some toothpaste in a jar from https://www.wearthlondon.com - the website for which I've shared with my work colleagues. And on here of course... -
Steven Day 7/03/2019 3:17 AMJust kicked off the Plastic Free Ecochallenge at Pure Planet. Let's see if we can get the most points in the UK... again ;) And learn a little about how to be better consumers and reduce needless plastic consumption.
