REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy Unpackaged ProduceWhy do you think these produce products started amassing so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?
Melissa Christner 7/11/2019 4:50 PMI think the plastic used for produce serves the producer and the consumer. Some people like it for the convenience and they say it keeps their produce fresh longer. The producer can also keep the produce fresher longer in plastic as well as reduce "contamination." -

Melissa Christner 7/11/2019 1:59 PMGrowing my own garden helps me with stress and it gets me outside in the sunshine which helps with depression. I also love watching the birds and bees!
I am able to control what is in my soil and what is on my food. I do all organic gardening and I never spray anything! In fact, I have a helpful opossum that visits my yard and eats bugs!
