One challenge I will continue each day is picking up trash on my walks in the neighborhood. Very easy to do!

OK, composting dog poo is a lot harder and there are many concerns about what is in their poo not good for composting. I think I will stick with getting a regular composter!

Anyone have a recommendation for a home composter? Looking at the Miracle Grow one with two compartments.

At my old house I had built one similar to this one. Currently I am using an plastic tote with holes drilled in it untill I can build a new one :)

Well, I know which challenge I can definitely keep for each day - picking up a piece of trash. There is an endless supply especially if you walk your dog every day!

Birthday cake at the office. Didn't use plastic fork but used silverware I brought to work. Lots of other staff did the same!

First day of challenge - I brought my own silverware to work for drink/food, used a bento box for lunch rather than sandwich bag, and brought reusable cup. Forgot to pick up trash on my walk today - will remember tomorrow!

    Food Use Reusables at Work
It is often true that we only have control over our own actions and not the collective community. How can you lead by example when it comes to switching disposables for reusable dishes in your community?

I'm taking my own silverware, bowls, etc. each day to use instead of one use plastic.
