Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

PJ Beaven 7/05/2019 1:57 PMWhile I have teeth issues and have been told by dentists to not with-go the electric toothbrush or the water-flosser, I did pick up a bamboo toothbrush for my husband, and we have eliminated the toothpaste in a tube. -
PJ Beaven 7/02/2019 4:38 PMAfter being at the family reunion with quite a bit of single-use plastics, I was really somewhat relieved to go to the store and get everything I needed for the week without consuming any plastic packaging, wraps, or containers. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Make Your OwnHow do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?
PJ Beaven 7/02/2019 4:31 PMI get to choose which ingredients I put in my own food when I make it myself. Honestly, our hummus tastes better than the store bought brands. And I save money making our own italian dressing. -
PJ Beaven 6/25/2019 8:38 AMOne week until the challenge officially begins. But we can still start behavior change now. What's one small thing you can do today to prepare or move you in the right direction? Do you have canvas bags, reusable utensils and mugs? Do you need to find a store which sells bulk items you need? This is the perfect chance to prepare and figure out what you need to make Plastic-Free July a success.
