Alexia's actions
Personal Care
Dam the Flow
I will use a menstrual cup and/or cloth pads
Community
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 2 piece(s) of litter each day.
Food
Use a Reusable Mug / Collapsible Cup
I will avoid sending 3 disposable cup(s) to the landfill per day by using a reusable mug or bringing my own collapsible cup.
Food
Use Reusable Water Bottles
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
Personal Care
That Was a Close Shave
I will replace my disposable razors with steel razors. Why not try using hair conditioner instead of shaving foam for that baby smooth feel?
Food
Use Reusable Bags
I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.
Pets
All Natural Pet Toys
I will give my pets natural alternatives to toys like femur bones and antlers, canvas, natural rubber, hemp, rope or cotton toys. Or I will make our own toys from recycled items found in our home!

Alexia Avila 7/20/2019 6:23 PMToday the guy at the grocery store randomly started putting my groceries in plastic bags even though I had my 15 reusable bags. It was awkward to have to let him know I was going to have to redo it. He was nice about it and didnt seem offended. Really enjoying my reusable bags more than I thought. -
Alexia Avila 7/19/2019 9:07 PMOfficially ordered my saalt cup today. It was pretty pricey but I did my research trying to find the best one for my lifestyle. Really hoping I like it and can get away from traditional products! -
Alexia Avila 7/18/2019 1:27 PMToday was rough, I'm in san antonio and we went grocery shopping in Jacob's car. All of my reusable bags are in mine. Thankfully he had some old heb plastic bags in his car we could use. Perhaps not the same as canvas but I count it as a win since we didnt take more plastic bags. -
Alexia Avila 7/17/2019 5:18 AMGonna use our reusable cups and popcorn tote for our day today at sea world and aquatica. -
Alexia Avila 7/16/2019 9:58 AMYesterday I was reminded that every time you get a drink they automatically put a straw in it. I forgot for my first drink to ask for no straw but the next time I ordered one I asked for a glass without one. I cant even imagine how many straws end up in the trash from one restaurant or bar every day. When I was in virginia most of the restaurants used paper straws. It would be cool to see more texas places switch. -
Alexia Avila 7/14/2019 12:36 PMI'm starting to get the hang of using my reusable bags for just about everything. Pretty sure by the end of this month it will be a habit and something I don't even have to think about doing. -
Alexia Avila 7/12/2019 8:20 PMSo proud of Jacob Sheldon for joining our team and supporting our mission. He's already pretty eco friendly but its fun to find new ways to be greener. -
Alexia Avila 7/11/2019 6:00 PMUsed my reusable bags again today when I went grocery shopping. It's a small inconvince to remember them every trip but I love how much can fit in one bag. Plus its much easier to carry them up to my apartment. -
Alexia Avila 7/09/2019 2:40 PMLooks like some of our teammates have created multiple accounts under the same name for extra points ... I hope that means they are doing double the work to keep our environment clean! -
Alexia Avila 7/09/2019 2:01 PMAs i get ready to take my weekend and go grocery shopping I'm desperately trying to remember by reusable bags so I stop buying more.
