I have become more aware of how much plastic and waste is around us. 

Costco sells apples and other produce in large plastic clam shells. Supposily to protect product during shipping for consumer. Other stores do not use plastic so possible they have another reason. Some salad options are also sold in plastic containers at whole foods. I do not buy food that is in clam shells and dont buy produce from costco

I hate to see my world become a trash can because of our excesses. Simple actions can make a big differences.  

I've noticed that many of the local restaurants do not automatically bring straws anymore. You need to ask for them. I dont ask.
